Christy Essien-Igbokwe lives again

Memories of late Christy Essien-Igbokwe who died few years ago will be relived again as her family concludes plans to set up a foundation in her honour.

The launch of the foundation, which takes place on the 17th of November, at  Intercontinental hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos,will also  witness the release of her  latest hit, ‘All of a sudden’ .

Known as Christy Essien-Memorial Foundation, it was originally conceived by the late musician before she passed on.

Disclosing this development at a press parley held penultimate Saturday, at Hilton Hotel, Ikeja, the deceased’s family said, the foundation is being set up as a way of immortalising the name of the departed songstress.

Mr. Romeo Odika, who was Christy’s  manager  while she was alive described the late lady of song as ‘a real mother’ who combined her musical career with taking  care of her family on daily basis despite her tight schedules .

Also, speaking at the event, late Christy’s son, Kaka Igbokwe  hinted tht they have put plans in motion to use her mother’s 52nd birthday anniversary, billed for 11th of November, to launch the foundation as well as  her 11th  album.
